Our History
Since our beginning in 1844, MHBC has grown from a small rural congregation serving our immediate community to a vibrant regional church impacting the greater Danville and Pittsylvania County area. From our earliest beginnings, a passion for missions was built into the very DNA of our church. Throughout our more than 170 years of ministry, our collective heartbeat for missions has expanded both in terms of our vision and our reach. As we seek to impact future generations for Christ, missions — locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally—will always be at the forefront of who we are.
